Volcano

One of Brodies Xmas presents was a volcano building kit. First we mixed the plaster and put it on the plastic mold, the next night we painted it brown and then the following night we painted the orange red and yellow. Finally last night we were able to erupt the volcano!

We don't have red food colouring so we tried blue and green mixed together hoping for purple but that didn't happen LOL.

The cool thing is at the end you just wipe it up and you can use your volcano over and over again!

Here is a video of the eruption :) Very cute, Brodie is quite dramatic :)

Pajama boys

They love to *try* and share the big chairs. Cooper gets a wee bit excited about having company up there but Brodie is very patient :)

Brodies printing is getting better and better. He is even spelling lots of words now without asking for help!

Pear makes this baby incredibly happy :)

More xmas party..

Stupid Blogger. Heres more pics!

Darren showing his full range of emotions was very upset at this reindeer.

Yes, we are pretending to feed the reindeer. Yes, we are actually sober and yes the band must have been that bad.

Great pic of Jeff and Megan.

Wayne and Doug looking hot stuff and very 007.

Love this pitcture of Darren Steve and Megan!

Moi and Megan shedding our sillies long enough for one picture :)

One week til Xmas?!?!

I really can't believe its one week til Xmas! Saskatoon will be fun although we aren't looking forward to the driving part. Hopefully we'll have nice weather and clear roads!

The past week has bee pretty fun. On Saturday night I went to the Telus Corporate Xmas party with my friend Steve. Our friend Lorien was going to go but she had to pop into the hospital unexpectedly so lucky me gotto use the ticket. It was a fun party but the band was pretty lame...so we amused ourselves by using up 27 pictures on a disposable camera and helped ourselves to the conference centres xmas themed displays. There were 3 other people there from my volleyball teams besides Steve and I so it was pretty fun to see everyone all dressed up! Mike and Karlynn, her parents and brother and girlfriend were also there and looked gawguss :)

Last night I got to play tennis for the first time in a couple of years! Daren and I went to the kinsmen...okay to be accurate half of Darren and I went to the Kinsmen...someone (not pointing any fingers) apparantly indulged waaaay too much at the party the night before. What a trooper only threw up on the way there and managed to keep our hour of court time puke free...... the drive home was ..interesting.

Otherwise not much else knew so I will let the pictures do the talking :)

I'm so glad Karlynn had her camera! And that Mike snapped such a great photo!

The group of us, I'm still kicking myself for not bringing my camera, the disposable ones quality was so poor :(

Darren, Jeff and Steve looking handsome all dudded up.

Megan and I making very good use of the Xmas display props.

Holy Snow Batman!

Finally some warm days so we can enjoy the piles of snow we have out there. No picnic to drive in though...

Catching Up

The last week has been a blur of sleepless nights (Cooper up lots and we don't know why...yet), coffee and chocolate, crafting at all hours of the day for Xmas and not really doing too many exciting things. its hard to get motivated when you 've had no sleep!

We went to the indoor playground with Juanita are her brood. The boys had a great time (well cole not so much) with a granpa that was there hiding in the climbing apparatus pretending to be a bear. Then the boys would have to go find him and he would chase them. He was a pretty spry old fellow!

Juanita wearing Erin in the wrap I made her

Cooper's hair has been so curly this week! And he's getting so big.

Brodie, future Al Bundy...he had just eaten a big meal so he is all round :)

Yesterday I got to meet baby Abby :) Amy and Abby came and spent a fun afternoon with me and the boys.

Chili's

Lucky spoiled me got taken out for dinner at Chili's last night. (aren't those girls smart to even get a location ith no health inspector warnings :) )

Um, apparantly I am already on the road to senile because I thought it was at 7pm and did a pit stop at Michaels for pipecleaners on the way but turns out I was supposed to be there at 6:30pm...doh! I think 30 minutes def falls into unfashionalby late category...

So good times! Becky and I split nachos and wings. Oh and btw, if they ever try to suggest the boneless wings. Say NO! Since we had a collective ew, we sent them back to get proper pull dat meat off da bone wings. Hmm boneless wings...think chinese chicken ball flavoured like a wing...wrong sooooo wrong .....

We had giggles and fun, we all were stuffed and I even got a picture! LOL Its a little fuzzy because certain people kept trying to dodge out of the view before the timer was finished. tsk tsk.

We finished off with a massive brownie with ice cream, I had picked the lava cake initially til they grossed me out on how it was made. There should be a law about only partially cooking food that has eggs in it...ew ew ew! hmm, maybe in Texas there is...

So I'm a very spoiled birthday girl! It is kind of disappointing that my festivities are over for the year though since I've been ahveing such a great time!

Hello 30!

Yesterday was my 30th birthday :) Really i do feel like fine wine yada yada yada...can't complain no grey hair, still feel young..and act it too :)

So my day started with a sleep-in (yay), Brett took the day off and after the shaw guy came to switch us to digital phone we headed out to whyte avenue to wander around. Brandy and the girls came over to watch the boys (thank you!).

We started with a trip to United Cycle to get soem new vball equipement for me. I got a fancy shmancy new vball and knee pads. Brett also surprised me with a dvd game of my fave movie of all time, CLUE! I had no idea it existed. We played it last night and its so fun :) My dear sister Amanda spoiled me with a wad of cash to spend at Fabricland :)

We poked around in a few shops around Whyte but didn't find anything of interest then after a stop for some cappucino we came home to eat dinner with the boys. We had my fave food (tacos) thne finished off with a tuxedo birthday cake yum yum.

After playing CLUE and the boys well into dreamland I headed out at about 10 pm with a few people from my volleyball team. Steve's birthday was also yesterday so they were celebrating at Hudsons. that was pretty fun but I learned a couple of things:

-apparantly it is acceptable to show up to a bar wearing jsut a bra...
-if you have boobs the waitress pretends you're not there
-if you aren't drinking the waitress ignores you even more, even with good tippage ...
-Its so freaking loud in there, after Lorien and I left we sat in the car talking for about 25 minutes because we couldn't say a word to each other ther without shouting at the top of our lungs!
-The bar is exactly the same as it was about 5 years ago...the last time I was in one :)

So now I have Monday nigth to look forward to with a dinner out at chili's with my sistah friends

I'm spoiled!
