We had a great time outside before bedtime tonight. cooling down after a very very hot day. Here is Brodie's experience....Brodie was so animated today! It was so much fun...and I have no idea why its hyperlinking my text....

Tennis tourney #2

Things are finally starting to come together! I still had a really bad first round match..but my next ones were so much better and i was actually playing I do in practice in a tournament ..FINALLY! So I won womens consolations today. and it is some consolation lol, got some fun prizes and despite the 33 degree heat while I was on court (ouch) it all went really well.

Here are some pics Brett took, the pro photographer that was at last tourney also took some pics of me playing today so i will post them when he sends them! He sent them ...but...none of me playing..maybe they were THAT bad lol!

What a show!

Walking with Dinosaurs was truly an amazing experience and I'm sooo glad I got to take Brodie! Here is us before we went on our "date". Brodie had such a fantastic time :)

Walking with Dinosaurs

Sorry for the absence! Its been too hot to do anything but sit and melt in the backyard. We've done nothing of interest at all it seems! BUT, that will all change when Brodie and I are going to see Walking With Dinosaurs: the Live Experience..we hummed and hahed about it but decided we couldn't possibly miss it and Brodie watches so many dinosaur documentaries...well our initial fear that he would be scared we realized is probably an overreaction on our part. So, we have tickets. and I'll post about the experience tomorrow!

Beating the Heat

What a scorcher the last couple of days! We spent most of the day outside trying to escape our oven of a house, thank goodness our basement is cool!

We had a few hot days, lots of outdoor water time and we're still plugging away at renos. Today we bought sod and some other stuff :)

Beckie and Jeff's wedding

We had a great time at Beckie and Jeff's wedding on Saturday! A beautiful day for a wedding, everything was so nicely done...and so much fun!


The candy buffet was a hoot, funny seeing all of our kids wired on sugar! lol

Our family pic was a good effort...Cooper didn't even have candy...and we couldn't contain him!


As Mike out it, Brodie was the moth whisperer...look at the sleeve of his shirt!



The dance was awesome, the kids got rigth into it..Brodie jumped onto the dancefloor as soon as he could and started breakdancing LOL.
