Nature Sanctuary

We went to the Clifford Lee Nature Sanctuary today. I t was a really nice spot about 1/2 hour out of the city. The bugs were annpying but once out ont he boardwalk you didn't really notice. Although brodie is terrified of bees poor kid, and anything buzzing sends him running in for a hug. We ended up having to leave early after a series out bizarre meltdowns, but after a snack int he car on the way home he was back to his old self and we went to a camping store and got him a kids fishing rod for camping next weekend!

Ivy, the only little girl out with us today!

A couple of boys were on a walk with their mom and grandmother. It was so funny to see their simple social skills in action. "Oh you like cars? please join us!" Cars were the only pre requisite to join the group!

Beading

We had fun today making bracelets with our friends Karlynn, Kade, Ivy, Brandy, Kaeli and Regan. Although it was short lived! We snacked on ginger cookies Brodie helped me make this morning and some tasty watermelon. Brandy and the girls stayed after Karlynn's troupe left and we went out into the pool. Sorry no pictures from today!

Cooper also started pulling himself to standing today!

Now I should go pack for our walk at a nature sanctuary tomorrow! And I will definitely be packing my camera!

First Pool Day

We finally got the pools out for the first time yesterday. It was hot, damnnnnnn HOT! (think Good Morning Vietnam)

Pretty miss Mona. She got her stitches out yesterday. The ulcer in her eye has healed but there is still a crater which will take a couple of more weks of antibiotics and eye drops to heal.
Cooper is getting a bit more confident and steadier on his knees!
Cooper would have been happier if we let him chew on the sides of the pool the whole time...

We took Brodie's clown fish kite out today for the first time. It was hard going because the wind would gust up and die down really unpredictably. But the boys managed to get it going a few times.

We also went for our weekly walk with Karlynn, Kade and Ivy around Lake Beaumaris. Since it was 30 something today the best part of the walk was stopping at Sobeys on the way home LOL.

Calgary Zoo

Saturday was our big zoo day! Linda and Brian came in from Canmore, and picked up Erin in the city on the way to the zoo. A little later Amanda, Eric, Geordan and Brennan joined us. We had quite the entourage!

So the boys slept terribly the night before and were up at the crack of dawn! So they sat in the stroller a teeny but but were happiest when being carried. As yo ucan see poor grandad did the bulk of the carrying!

So many pictures so little time!

We were in Calgary this weekend visiting my sister and her family. We had a great time, thansk especially to Amanda for the chicken that was nearly to die for (wink wink, nudge nudge) Geordan and brennan were so great with Brodie and Cooper. Brodie was basically king for 3 days! lol

Since there are so many pictures I am going to have to do a few blog entries!

Beautiful Day

Today was great, not too hot and jsut enough wind to cool you down. We went for another walk around lake beaumaris. Today we went with Karlynn, Kade & Ivy, Amanda & Everen and Samantha, Lily & Holly. Quite a caravan as one jogger put it!

Yesterday we went for another quick one around the hood with Katherine, Sebastian and Harper. So lots of exercise and fresh air for the boys!

Cooper may finally be getting teeth. He tested them out on my shoulder last night (OUCH!) I have too small teth marks on my shoulder still! They aren't through the gums yet but it shows jsut how clsoe they are to leave teeth marks! So not sure if we are going to get any sleep tonight....

Brodie is such a little ham. He charmed a couple at the vet this afternoon into buying a few new toys for their greyhound LOL. What a kid :)

Which comes to Mona. Her eye ulcer is healing well, the other eye does not have an ulcer which is great and her incision from her surgery is looking ok. So stitches out in a week or so and hopefully the ulcer will be gone in about the same amount of time. So I jsut continue giving 2 different kinds of drops, in each eye 4 times a day each. Between her and Cooper I feel like a pharmacist! Hopefully this will all be done soon!

Cooper has gone from chemomilla 2 times a day, 4 tablets each time to 2 tablets once per day. So hopefully he will be off them completely. He is still getting 3 pills 2 times a day for his allergies that were causing his eczema. So hopefully he will be completely homeopathic free soon :)

Brett is at Mike's helping build their deck, and we're off to Calgary Friday. A pretty busy week all around!

Fathers Day!

Eek! I'm so behind. We had a nice fathers day, pretty mellow day all around since Brett had taken down the deck with Mike on Saturday. Cooepr is almost doing a real crawl, but he prefers the army inch worm :) He also started pulling himself up a wee bit. He hasn't done it and stood, jsut to his knees. But I think it gave him motivation to try harder when he saw all the edibles up high!

Brodie is doing great, he feels all better and loved getting out for a big walk with Karlynn, Kade and Ivy yesterday.

Mona isn't doing so well. We're going back to the vet tomorrow. It looks like her other eye has an ulcer too. So we'll hopefully find out if the other one is healing at all. :( I fell so drained, I feel terribly for her. She must be so confused with the pain...and vision...its jsut all too awful :(
