First time camping

We just spent our first weekend camping with children. Even though we had a fantastic time sharing a site with our friends Karlynn, Kade,Mike and Ivy and visiting with our other friends Amanda, Tim, Everen and Amanda's parents and sister a 2 minute walk from our site to theirs...we are never ever doing it without a trailer! Well, okay, we probably have a to wait a couple of years before we can afford and actual trailer. We had so much stuff crammed into the Neon!

Before we left we picked a up a roof carrier from Canadian tire, after a bit of confusion we finally found one advertised on their website for cars that you don't need a rail system for. But when we went to get it from the store it was completely different. Not even the same brand. the good part is its a great carrier, the down side is it says national geographic on it. So all the people us passing us on the highway were quite disappointed we were jsut a family and the closest we get to exploring is Dora...

So here are the first pics, there are tons. I took 151 pics and videos this weekend...

The first night, the kids were so wound we could not get them to sleep! Second night was much better. Thank the heavens for slings!

Who says Shih Tzus aren't rugged?! Mona had a fabulous time!

Not to self: When camping with 2 young boys make sure you have, 2 identical places to sit, plenty of cars to barter with , 2 umbrella strollers to race, plenty of the same snack....
