Deck work

So Brett spent a ton of time and energy on the deck this weekend. We are so close to getting it finished. Although finished is kind of the wrong word..we still need to make a cabinet for the gas metre, figure out what will surround the deck (shrub, planter, bench??) But this weekend he managed to get the whole thing sanded and the balusters finished. The in a combined effort we got one coat of stain on. I will take some pictures of the one coat of stain now that its light out!

Next will be painting the house to get rid of the scar the old deck left on it, laying some sod where the old deck was covering up the ground and a hedge or planter or something around the lower deck...lots of work left to do for sure!
