The big BIG news is that I talked to Mona's vet this afternoon. I have been monitoring her water consumption for the past few days and its been exactly where it should be. Which is great. The vet agrees with my theory that she had a seizure and by looking for the seizure cause we found the kidney issues. Its soooo early though its great! So basically at this point Mona does not have kidney disease, and we're just supposed to continue on the lower protein vegetarian food for now and go back for blood/urine tests in 6 months. The vet even thinks that whatever was bugging her could even clear itself up and her next results might be normal! So here's to hoping! She has been the spunkiest, cutest dog ever in the last few days and I'm sure she's trying to let me know that she is feeling good!
